As a Patient of Bodylooks Cosmetic Surgery, we will make every effort to ensure that you receive the excellent standard of care that you deserve. This document outlines some of the ways in which we aim to achieve this.
WITHIN THE HOSPITAL
During your visit to the private hospital, we will endeavour to ensure that you'll:-
Receive information about the hospital services in a language that is easy to understand
Be cared for in a safe and comfortable environment, with appropriate clinical standards
Be given a clear explanation about your procedure by your consultant and any treatment or investigation proposed, including any risks and alternative, before agreeing on the course of action to be taken
Be able to seek a second opinion if you wish
Expect all hospital staff to treat any information about your procedure in confidence
Have access to your consultant with practising privileges at the hospital with details of their specialities
Have any complaint, verbal or written, fully investigated and receive a response, either verbal or written in accordance with our complaints policy.
DURING YOUR STAY
If your visit requires an overnight stay or treatment as a day case patient, we will always aim to provide you with:-
Privacy and dignity at all times
At least one visit every day from a senior member of the nursing team
A range of meals, with a variety of choice, including those suitable for special dietry or clinical needs
24 Hour access to a doctor in accordance with your medical needs
GOING HOME
And so, in conjunction with your consultant, we aim to ensure that you'll be:-
Provided with all the necessary advice, information and medical supplies to enable your immediate return to your home
Given all relevant contact details to enable you to call Bodylooks at any time should any problems arise
Contacted by a member of our patient advice line once you have returned home, to confirm you are making a satisfactory recovery and to provide you with any further advice you may require.
COMPLAINTS
Should the unlikely happen and there is something regarding your surgery are not happy with, the Surgeon will have explained that surgery is not something that the final result is immediate and healing of some procedures can take upto 12 months. We will always make your surgeon available to you and you would come back for a post operative consultation here all your concerns would be fully documented, and with your surgeon a course of action would be discussed.
